My Experience Being a Fashion Disaster

All Hallow's Eve...a night for fun and parties! Basically I just wore what I normally wear - just added a little extra "Taiwan." Note the Pippy Longstocking-esque pig tails, star earrings, funky shirt...ahh the memories. I was "Fashion Don't #2" while my good friend Jen was "Fashion Don't #1." We had a blast. In Taiwan, however, I would be a definite "Fashion Do"...I think. Posted by Picasa
Trying to give the full-body affect so my costume can be fully appreciated, but it's really not working. Posted by Picasa
Posted by Picasa My shoes from Taiwan make a proud, pointy statement...interesting that the norm there should be such a spectacle here!

Halloween Fun at School!

My most joy-evoking student of all time...being amazingly, wonderfully silly! She makes me laugh like mad. Posted by Picasa
Me and my dear little student! She is such a ham!! She smashed her face in whipped cream just for this picture. :) Posted by Picasa
Jen and a steaming cauldron of apple cider! I love my job. Posted by Picasa

Reinforcing Education

My wonderful co-workers...we were vowels for Halloween! Can't get much better than that. Posted by Picasa

A Visit to Chris n' Katie's

"Mom, can I hide? Can I hide?" This was a frequent question of my little niece during my visit. She found a new favorite toy...egg crate! Posted by Picasa

Trying to Pose

Sweet 'lil Sarah...trying to pose...but that darn flash! She would be smiling like mad and then the camara would flash, and she would resort to rubbing her eyes and nose! Notice her heroic attempt, however, to keep on smiling....She's as cute as a button. Finally got a priceless shot with breakfast all over her bib. Posted by Picasa

My Beautiful Sisters (and mom!)

Angie, a stellar soccer player, sprained her ankle before their State Championship. Of course, they would have won if she had played. :) These are get well cookies from her team. Posted by Picasa

The LiDo Lowdown

Okay, so basically this is what's up over here in Denver, Colorado. After a week and a half of attending graduate classes at the University of Colorado at Denver to get a masters of humanities, I decided, "Eh. This ain't for me." I started seriously rethinking the direction of my life...AND...have decided to go into Special Education! I just got a job in the public school system working with kids with special needs. It's a good change. Yippee!!

Tug O' War

Many of you might be asking, "So...What's Next?!" Well, I'm so glad you asked! I am looking into post-baccalaureate sp.ed certification programs...the most promising being at BYU!! I never thought I'd go back to the Y, but I am REALLY excited about this possible opportunity, especially now that my family lives in Utah! Every now and then, though, I feel a tug back to the East Coast...namely DC...we'll see if that goes anywhere! Hmmm...who will win this game of tug o' war? East? West? We'll see!

Loft n' Living Room

My upstairs lair - the loft and hallway to the bedroom . We're still moving in a bit, as is evidenced by the messy dining room. To the right is the kitchen and to the left is Brooke's wing.

The loft area. which stems off my bedroom and bathroom suite!

The Living Room taken from the loft area. Note the sweet balcony (hidden behind white blinds)!

The Bedroom

My bedroom - Note the sweet balcony! Yup...basically I live in luxury.

A closet full of clothes from Taiwan!

The Beauties of a Small Town

I love small towns! Their peace and inner-contentment sweetly sings me to slumber until all I have to wonder upon is how the hollyhocks grow.
Behind Mom and Pop's. Beauty, eh?
