And this is Middle Rank "Road"!! Barely big enough for two people to walk abrest! Oh it was so cute! And what a view!! You can see the little staircase in the background of the middle photo which leads to the next 'layer' of housing. In front of each little house there was a garden plot. Everything was so green and blooming! It's so unusual to have such lovely, sunny weather in England - and we enjoyed nearly two weeks of it! There is a little girl in the bottom photo, probably about 4 years old. She was playing in her garden when we arrived, running about in carefree barefeet. When she saw us, she left her organic playground and ran to get her daddy to help us. Sadly, we weren't able to find the May's exact address, 85 Middle Rank Rd. Some of the homes were demolished in the 1970s (until the National Trust stepped in!). Also, the numbering system may be slightly different now, as well. But it was HERE that they lived!!
